The authors describe the effect as modest, and their own summary is more careful than most of the material that quotes it.

The effect varied a great deal by setting. Car parks showed the largest and most consistent reduction at roughly 37%. Residential areas showed roughly 12%. City and town centers, housing complexes, and public transport did not show statistically significant reductions in the main analysis.

Two limitations are associated with those numbers. The studies span nine countries, with the United Kingdom and the United States contributing most of them, and none of them was conducted in the Philippines.
