To use the adapter, install it into your computer, then install the driver. Our driver supports screen readers and can be installed using only a keyboard!

Part 1. Learn About Your Adapter
This section introduces the adapter's package contents and appearance.
1. Unpack Your Adapter
Your package includes: an adapter, a low-profile bracket, a CAT6A Ethernet Cable and installation guides.
Low-Profile Bracket: An L-shaped metal piece with two mounting holes designed for compact computer cases.
CAT6A Ethernet Cable: a1.5-meter long thick cable with plastic connectors at both ends. Each connector has a small clip to hold it in place. To use the cable, insert one end to the internet port on your adapter until you hear or feel a click and the other end to a router or modem router. To unplug it, you can press the click and pull it out.
2. Appearance
The adapter is a flat, rectangular circuit board with a smooth surface and slight ridges from its embedded components.
The front of the adapter has an L-shaped metal bracket. At the center of the mounting bracket, there is a recessed rectangular internet port for connecting Ethernet cable.
One side of the adapter has a gold-plated edge connector (PCIe interface) with tiny, parallel metal pins, which plug into the motherboard’s PCIE slot.
Part 2. Get Started
Step 1. Connect to a Computer
a. Turn off your computer, unplug the power cable, and then remove the case panel.
b. Locate an available PCIE slot (X1, X4, X8, or X16) on your computer and carefully insert the adapter.
Note: If the bracket is not suitable for your computer, detach it from the adapter's board and replace it with the low-profile bracket.
c. Replace the case panel, plug in the power cable, and turn on your computer. Then use the Ethernet cable to connect the adapter to your front-end router.
Step 2. Install the Drivers
For Windows 11 (Plug and Play)
This adapter supports Plug and Play on Windows 11. Once the adapter is connected to your computer, the system will automatically complete the driver setup for immediate use.

For Other Operating Systems
If the adapter is not automatically recognized, follow these steps to install the driver manually:
a. Download the driver or check the new release at https://www.tp-link.com/download-center.
b. Unzip the downloaded folder and run the Autorun.exe.
c. Select your adapter and follow the instructions to complete the installation.
Note:
- To install driver on Linux, refer to https://www.tp-link.com/faq-2868.html
- If you can’t install the driver successfully, disable the antivirus software and firewall, then try again.
