Now, ready to explore your Wireless Access Point and get connected?

Step 1. Learn About Your Wireless Access Point

This section introduces the Wireless Access Point's package contents and appearance, including its ports, buttons, and product label.

1. Unpack Your Wireless Access Point

Your package includes: a Wireless Access Point, a power adapter, an Ethernet cable, a PoE power injector, and installation guides.

  • Power Adapter: A block-shaped charger with a cord. Plug it into the Wireless Access Point’s power port to turn it on.
  • Ethernet Cable: A thick cable with plastic connectors at both ends. Each connector has a small clip to hold it in place. To use the cable, insert one end to the corresponding port on your Wireless Access Point until you hear or feel a click and the other end to another Ethernet outlet. To unplug it, you can press the click and pull it out.
  • PoE Power Injector: Feels like a rectangular box. It has two nearly square Ethernet ports and a power cord. Facing the ports, the PoE port is on the left and the LAN port is on the right. You can power the device with the PoE injector when the access point is located far from a power outlet. Use the Ethernet cable to connect your Access Point to the PoE port of the PoE injector.

2. Appearance

The Wireless Access Point has a rectangular shape and is designed to sit flat on a surface, such as a table or shelf. It comes with thin, adjustable antennas attached to the back or sides.

Locate small rubber footpads/ridges on the bottom of the Wireless Access Point. With the footpads/ridges located at the bottom, place the Wireless Access Point on a flat surface. Rotate all antennas to point straight up for the best signal.

Face directly the side that has recessed rectangular ports aligned in a row. This side is the back panel. The ports and buttons are arranged from left to right as follows:

Power Port: Circular in shape. For connecting the Wireless Access Point to a power socket via the provided power adapter.

Power On/Off Button: Press this button to power on or off the Wireless Access Point. It is pressed down when the Wireless Access Point is powered on and pops up when powered off.

Reset Button: A small, recessed button that requires a pin to press. Press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds to reset the Wireless Access Point to its factory default settings. After a reset, wait about 2 minutes for it to restart.

WPS Button: A small, round button. Press for 1 second to enable the WPS function.

Ethernet Port: A nearly square port. For connecting an Ethernet enabled device, such as a router or desktop.

Product label: The product label is at the bottom of the access point. The surface of the product label is relatively smooth and it is slightly recessed into the back panel. The default network name, MAC address of your Wireless Access Point, and a QR code for scanning to connect to your Wireless Access Point’s default Wi-Fi are provided on the label.
